The Bridge wanted us to bring out the story of Vincent Lakra, who represented India in the hockey world cup, 1978 held in Argentina, but now leads a desolated life at his remote tribal village in Chhattisgarh.

How we achieved it

Travelling to Chhattisgarh was not possible for various reasons, so our team had to ensure that we developed a story through only pictures and videos from the internet and what the client provided us. After gathering enough information and data, we started working on the storyline. The challenge was to make the video emotional, and for that, we used multiple music tracks, grainy vintage overlays, monochromatic grade, and vintage sound designs. The footage provided to us was shot on a smartphone, so we had to use an 8mm film look to make it more professional.

The video was received very warmly and has since garnered over 5k views across different social media platforms. The video was also played at an event in IIM Pune to showcase the importance of celebrating lesser-known athletes during their career and after retirement.
